Hello English ("App") respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.
2. Data We Collect
The App only stores data you create: dictionaries, words, and translations. This data is stored locally on your device.
3. AI Features
To provide AI features (word translation, example sentences, vocabulary suggestions from a prompt, and learning-text generation), the App sends the relevant text you enter or select — such as words, prompts, and word lists — to Google's Gemini API for processing. We do not operate our own servers that store this content. Google processes the data according to its own privacy policy. Generated results are saved locally on your device with your dictionaries.
4. Payments
The App may offer an optional auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not collect or store your payment card details. Apple may process purchase-related information under Apple's privacy policy. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings. Restore Purchases uses Apple's purchase records and does not give us access to your payment method.
5. Your Rights
You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Data is stored locally on your device and protected by the operating system.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
